COOKING TOUR SICILY – Trinacria Gastronomic Sojourn is an adventure for people who love food, enjoy cooking, and who want to discover the Sicilian culinary tradition. It is a project aimed at combining the food and wine peculiarities of the terroir as well as rest and relaxation in a carefully restored farmhouse.
Cooking Tour Sicily is not only a series of cooking classes, but a deepening of the knowledge of the Sicilian territory by participating in the creation of Sicilian food with one's own hands. This journey will bring authentic experiences to each of the participants, bringing them into close contact with the farming culture, the food and wine, as well as the pastry and dairy art of Modica.
Cooking classes are scheduled daily, mainly in the mornings, for the duration of the retreat, and excursions are organized every other day. The cooking classes will be taught by our farmhouse cook, who was brought up in the local culinary and farming traditions of the land.
Excursions:
1) Factory visit to Thalass (producers of artisan glass dishes) and visit to the DOLCERIA BONAJUTO (the oldest chocolate producers in Sicily and one of the oldest in all of Italy). In the evening, dinner on the Property with a cheese-making demonstration of ricotta and other cheeses.
2) Visit and dinner at a winery: at one of the best wineries in the area: Cantina Rio Favara.
3) Lunch at a restaurant in Portopalo, the southernmost town in Sicily, with fresh fish caught directly from the fishermen who fish directly for the restaurant. Visit to the City of Siracusa or alternatively a visit to the Oasis of Vendicari, then dinner at the above-mentioned restaurant in Portopalo.
Cost & Booking
$4,000 for double occupancy. To secure a room on your own, add a supplement of $500. This includes all transfers and transportation to and from Palermo Airport, as well as transportation to all touring destinations. This will also include most meals, all fees and tickets, most tips.

This tour represents the places and foods that we love, the hidden and unknown parts of Sicily, which is how we are able to get such an affordable rate. Affordability in Sicily doesn’t mean substandard. You will fall in love with the places we will show you!
If your travel allows and you’d like to see more touristy spots, we’re happy to make suggestions. We are also able to plan and execute a tour for just you and up to six of your family or friends! To secure your spot, a $1,000 deposit is required. This is the land only portion of your tour. You must secure and book all your own flights.
