Side Roads of Sicily

Our inaugural tour was a huge success! We traveled from May 3 through May 10 visiting hill towns of the Nebrodi Mountains as well as Santo Stefano di Camastra, well-known for its brightly painted ceramics, and a jaunt to Palazzolo Acreide and Siracusa. We visited castles, churches, artisan workshops, a winery, Greek Theaters, museums, art galleries, Roman Palaces, and a special stop to meet and greet the now famous and official Ragusano Breed of Donkeys, whose backstory involves a local mayor, the mafia and these humble creatures (See blog post for the whole story). We ate great food and drank great wine, made new friends, and caught up with not so new friends. The adventure was unforgettable, and we are grateful to our travelers for helping us make these memories.
